The US Virgin Islands Film Promotion Office, created in 1973, is one of the oldest film commissions in America, a founding member of the AFCI and the first in the Caribbean.
We usually recommend that you hire a local location service provider who knows the idiosyncrasies of the islands. The Film Office works with you and/or your local coordinator as a “one-stop shop” for government film permits, so you don’t have to run around to agencies for permission to shoot. We also may be able to help with some private locations.
Without the long-term experience of local location coordinators and the Film Office, projects may pay more, waste time and miss out on insiders’ knowledge. The more information you provide, the better we can assist you with your production needs and budget.
